Itinerary
Your journey begins in Casablanca with a visit to the majestic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest in the world. Then, travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where you’ll see the Royal Palace, the Hassan Tower, and the Kasbah of the Udayas. Continue through the Rif Mountains to the magical blue city of Chefchaouen. Upon arrival, stroll through its charming blue-washed medina, admire the mountain views, and enjoy a relaxed evening in one of Morocco’s most picturesque towns.
After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen and head toward the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its impressive mosaics and arches. Then visit the imperial city of Meknes, once the capital of Morocco under Sultan Moulay Ismail. See Bab Mansour, El Hedim Square, and the royal stables before continuing to Fes, where you’ll spend the night in a traditional riad in the heart of the medina.
Leave Fes behind and head south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, Morocco’s Swiss-style town, and Azrou, known for its cedar forest and wild monkeys. After lunch in Midelt, continue through the scenic Ziz Valley toward the desert. Arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll ride camels into the dunes of the Erg Chebbi and enjoy a magical night under the stars in a traditional Sahara desert camp.
Start the day with a desert sunrise before heading to Rissani, a traditional market town. Continue through the dramatic Todra Gorges, where steep cliffs rise hundreds of meters high. Drive through the beautiful Dades Valley, known for its kasbahs and rock formations, before arriving in Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara and a filming location for many famous movies.
After breakfast, visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and iconic film location. Then cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, one of the highest in Morocco. Arrive in Marrakech, where you can explore the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square, bustling souks, and vibrant nightlife. Spend the evening in a beautiful riad in the medina.
Today is dedicated to discovering Marrakech’s most famous landmarks. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and the colorful Majorelle Garden. Get lost in the medina’s labyrinth of souks and enjoy traditional Moroccan cuisine in a local restaurant. This day offers a deep dive into the cultural heart of Morocco, blending history, art, and daily life.
On the final day, travel back to Casablanca through the highway, passing through scenic plains and farmland. Upon arrival, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or Casablanca airport. This marks the end of an unforgettable 7-day Moroccan journey through mountains, medinas, desert, and coastline.
